Streaming API support for Data Security tables in Microsoft Defender XDR Advanced Hunting

Additional document processing rule actions for Microsoft SharePoint libraries

SharePoint libraries will gain new document processing rule actions—copy file to, move file to, and set content type—available to users with edit permissions. Rolling out late August to early September 2025, these enable automated file management based on metadata, with up to 15 rules per library.

Fix update: Enforcement of Admin Settings in Fabric Public API and CI/CD

Starting September 15, 2025, Microsoft Fabric will enforce tenant and capacity-level admin settings to block creation of specified Fabric items via public APIs, Git integration, and deployment pipelines. Existing items remain unaffected. Admins should review settings to align with policies before enforcement begins.

Streamlined file preview and Copilot Chat experience in Microsoft 365 Copilot app for iOS

Restrict new file creation in Office desktop apps to Cloud Locations

IT Administrators can restrict new file creation in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint on Windows to Cloud Locations only, enhancing security and compliance. This policy, deployable via Group Policy from August 2025, limits saving new files to OneDrive, SharePoint, or third-party Clouds, promoting cloud usage and protection.
