Group-less campaigns in Viva Amplify simplify campaign creation by removing the need for Microsoft 365 Groups or Teams channels. This update, rolling out from late June to mid-July 2025, offers simplified setup, faster performance, and reduced management overhead. No action is required unless updating internal documentation.
Microsoft Viva Amplify is transitioning from App tokens to Protected Forwarded Tokens (PFTs) for enhanced security. This change limits publication scheduling to 30 days in advance and affects token validity, requiring users to reschedule if tokens expire. No admin action is required, but documentation updates are recommended.
New Microsoft Teams notifications for Microsoft Copilot Academy users will inform them about new courses starting late June 2025. Requires Teams, Viva Learning, and Microsoft 365 Copilot licenses. Microsoft Purview Data Loss Prevention (DLP) for Microsoft 365 Copilot is now generally available, allowing organizations to use DLP policies to detect sensitivity labels and restrict access to sensitive content. The rollout begins in late June 2025 and completes by late July 2025. Admins can edit or create new policies and use alerting and simulation features.
Microsoft PowerPoint for Windows desktop will introduce a Copilot feature in July 2025, allowing users to generate and insert new topic-specific slides that match their presentation’s design. This feature requires a Microsoft 365 license and will be on by default. No admin action is needed before rollout.
