SharePoint: Site attestation

Site attestation policy is the newest addition to the site lifecycle management suite. It is a one-stop solution to ensure your sites are secure and compliant by reducing the risk of unmanaged sites. This involves regular reviews by site owners or admins to check and confirm the accuracy of site information, including the site’s necessity, its owners, members, permissions, and sharing settings. You can also choose to automate actions on sites that remain unattested for more than 3 months to prevent risks of content over exposure.

Microsoft Purview compliance portal: Data Loss Prevention – restrict Microsoft 365 Copilot processing on content with sensitivity labels

Microsoft Purview Data Loss Prevention is extended to Microsoft 365 Copilot. This feature will allow DLP policies to provide detection of sensitivity labels in enterprise grounding data and restrict access of the content in Microsoft 365 Copilot.

Limit on number of users or groups that can be added to workspace roles in Fabric and Power BI

Microsoft Fabric will limit workspace roles to 1,000 users or groups from August 1 to August 31, 2025. Overlimit workspaces can’t add more users/groups until under the limit. Admins should consolidate access and use provided APIs to manage workspaces.

Microsoft Defender for Office 365: AI-powered submissions response for improved result explainability

Microsoft Defender for Office 365 is introducing AI-powered explanations for email submission results, enhancing clarity on why messages are classified as spam, phishing, or clean. This feature will roll out globally from late June to mid-July 2025 and is available by default. No admin action is required.

Microsoft Teams: Presenters can promote attendees to the green room

Presenters in Microsoft Teams can now promote attendees from the waiting room to the green room using the Participants roster. This update is available for Teams on Windows, Mac, and the web, and requires no admin action. Notify users and update documentation as needed.
