Microsoft Defender for Office 365 is introducing Mail Bombing Detection to protect against email bombing attacks. This feature will roll out globally from late June to late July 2025, automatically identifying and blocking such attacks. It requires no manual configuration and will be visible in various security tools.
Microsoft Viva Engage will update certain activity icons to a standard neutral placeholder icon for a subset of API-driven activities. This visual-only change will roll out from late June to early July 2025 and requires no action from users or admins. Notify users about this update if needed.
Microsoft 365 Copilot Chat is now available in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and OneNote. It opens in the side pane and can be managed through settings. Rollout begins in late June for Outlook and mid-July for other apps. Admins may need to adjust the pin setting for non-licensed users.

We are introducing an AI-enhanced pre-meeting card in Microsoft 365 Copilot for Sales to help you prepare for customer meetings with insights on opportunities, accounts, and past interactions. This feature will reach general availability on June 16, 2025.
We are announcing Copilot-powered intent-based transfer capabilities for customer service workflows. This feature will reach general availability on July 31, 2025.
This release will enhance Amplify reporting by adding click through rate metric. A new card will show the percentage of unique users who clicked on a link from the publication, providing insights into user engagement with the campaign.
Microsoft Teams will soon support noise suppression for dial-in participants. This feature automatically filters out background noise (e.g., traffic, typing) for users who join meetings via phone (PSTN). It enhances clarity and reduces distractions for all meeting participants. The feature will be rolled out gradually. However, if you’d like to enable it yourself, you will be able to do so via the Teams Admin Center:
1. Go to Meeting policy 2. Navigate to the Audio & video section 3. Set Noise suppression for dial-in participants to Enabled or programmatically with MicrosoftTeamsPowerShell by setting NoiseSuppressionForDialInParticipants setting inside of CsTeamsMeetingPolicy to “Enabled”.
The Cloud Update feature will transition to General Availability. Admins can manage monthly updates for Microsoft 365 Apps for Enterprise using our automation services.
