Microsoft 365 Copilot chat will allow users to RSVP to meetings directly (Accept, Decline, Tentative, Follow, Remove canceled) starting early December 2025. This feature is on by default for licensed users, requires no admin action, and simplifies meeting management within Copilot chat.
Microsoft Defender Threat Intelligence is integrating with Microsoft Defender and Microsoft Sentinel by January 8, 2026, offering unified threat insights, enhanced analytics, and IoC integration. Organizations must transition to these platforms and update licensing and documentation to maintain access.
Microsoft Purview Compliance Manager will introduce AI Powered Regulatory Templates to convert regulatory PDFs into actionable controls, simplifying compliance assessments. Microsoft Teams on macOS will automatically install and update Network Device Interface (NDI) binaries starting January 2026, enabling seamless broadcasting of audio and video streams without manual setup. This feature is enabled by default, affects all macOS users, and requires no admin or user action.
External Authentication Methods (EAM) Public Preview will enforce registration starting December 8, 2025. Existing users are pre-registered; new users after December 2, 2026, must complete in-line setup. Admins can register users. Organizations should prepare by communicating changes and reviewing configurations.
Autocorrect will be added to Microsoft Teams compose for Windows and Mac, automatically correcting common misspellings by default starting December 2025 (Targeted Release) and January-February 2026 (General Availability). Users can disable it in Settings. No admin action is needed; update documentation and inform helpdesk.
