The June 2025 Windows non-security preview update is now available

The June 2025 non-security preview update is now available for Windows 11, versions 24H2, 23H2, and 22H2. Act now: Secure Boot certificates expire in June 2026

In the coming months, Microsoft will be rolling out updated Secure Boot certificates needed to ensure a secure startup environment of Windows. Current certificates will start expiring in June 2026 on all Windows systems released since 2012, except for 2025 Copilot+ PCs. This also affects third-party operating systems. Start by checking on the latest available firmware from original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) and enabling Windows diagnostic data. Microsoft Copilot Studio – Enhance governance with an admin control to block agents

We are announcing a new control for admins, allowing them to block agents created in Microsoft Copilot Studio. This feature provides a PowerShell command to block Copilot Studio agents by the admin. This feature will reach general availability on July 15, 2025.

Microsoft 365 Admin Center: Prepurchase Capacity Packs for Microsoft 365 Copilot Chat and SharePoint Agents

This feature integrates pre-purchased capacity packs into Microsoft 365 Admin Center for Copilot experiences. Administrators can apply pre-purchased message capacity to Microsoft 365 Copilot Chat, SharePoint Agents, and other compatible scenarios before incurring pay-as-you-go charges. Capacity packs, available as monthly or yearly subscriptions in the M365 Admin Center marketplace, provide a fixed number of prepaid messages, simplifying administration by eliminating the need to set up pay-as-you-go multiple times.

A new usage report will be available in the Microsoft 365 admin center for search in Microsoft 365 Copilot. The report will include total search queries, average search queries per user, search usage trends, and per-user usage insights.

Microsoft 365 admin center: M365 Copilot Billing and usage – Budget limits

Admins can set up budget limits for Copilot Pay-as-you-go by defining billing policies scoped to departments or groups. These policies can be assigned to specific Copilot services, such as M365 Copilot Chat or SharePoint-based agents, and configured with budget thresholds and alerting rules. Email notification alerts (soft alerts) are supported, enabling proactive cost control.
