Microsoft Viva Insights: Skills insights for leaders

Microsoft Viva Insights will soon allow leaders to use Microsoft 365 Copilot to explore team skills insights via natural language prompts, generating dynamic visual reports. This feature requires a Microsoft 365 Copilot license or a Viva Insights subscription and will be available by default starting mid-June 2025.

Microsoft Teams will soon default to landing on the last read message when selecting “Unread Chats.” Users can choose to land on the newest message instead. Rollout begins in June 2025 and completes by July 2025. No admin action is required, but user notification is recommended.

Product transitions to the cloud.microsoft domain – May 2025

Microsoft products will transition to the cloud.microsoft domain by May 2025. This domain, introduced in early 2023, will host Microsoft’s authenticated SaaS products. Users will be automatically redirected, and no action is required. Admins should educate users and ensure network connections to cloud.microsoft are not blocked.

Configure End Users for Frontier features in Microsoft 365

Microsoft Copilot (Microsoft 365): New file extension for Copilot pages

We are introducing a new file extension for Copilot pages, “.page”. This new file extension will continue to support admin toggles, sensitivity labels, data loss prevention, multi-geo, Purview eDiscovery, version history, export, audit logs, and data subject requests. The functionality and support for the .page file extension will be identical to the existing .loop file extension, with the only difference being the file extension and the associated file icon. Outlook: Report junk + block or unsubscribe in one same action

We’re making it easier to keep your inbox clean and under control. Now, when you report an email as junk, you’ll also have the option to unsubscribe—if that’s available. This helps stop unwanted messages at the source and keeps your blocked list from getting overloaded. If unsubscribing isn’t possible, you’ll still be able to block the sender to prevent future emails. This update gives you more control and a simpler way to manage unwanted messages.

Microsoft 365 Admin Center: M365 Copilot – Billing and usage – Usage insights

As you enable M365 Copilot Chat pay-as-you-go billing, AI administrators can view usage insights to inform agent management decisions. This feature displays the cost and number of messages in total and per agent. Cost and usage details can be filtered by billing policy and date range.
