Microsoft Viva: Anonymous comments in Engage events

Organizers & attendees can now post comments anonymously during Engage events—just like anonymous questions. When enabled by the organizer, these comments are fully anonymous in the UI and compliance systems, helping foster open, honest conversations. Look for the “Comment anonymously” toggle when posting to protect your identity and encourage authentic engagement.

SharePoint agents trial usage data now available in Microsoft Admin Center

Admins can now check SharePoint Agents trial usage reporting in the Copilot Admin Center! 

When this will happen:

This is available currently to all tenants that qualify and have opted in to the trial.

How this affects your organization:

From the Copilot Admin Center, Admins can now view month over month tenant wide usage, in addition to seeing the usage data via PowerShell.

Microsoft 365 admin center: Usage reports to manage metered consumption costs for Microsoft 365 Copilot Chat (preview)

A new Message consumption usage report for Microsoft 365 Copilot Chat (preview) will be introduced in the admin center to manage metered consumption costs. It includes detailed metrics and alerts for high usage. Public preview starts early May 2025, with general availability in late July 2025. No admin action is required.

Microsoft Defender: Updates to Export Quarantine Message cmdlet

Microsoft Defender is updating the `Export-QuarantineMessage` cmdlet to include a new `-PasswordV2` parameter for plain text passwords, replacing the old `-Password` parameter. This rollout will occur from late April 2025 to late May 2025 and requires no admin action. Notify users and update documentation accordingly.

Microsoft Teams: Send messages to attendees in the meeting lobby with Lobby chat

Microsoft Teams will introduce Lobby chat, allowing meeting organizers and co-organizers to send one-way messages to attendees in the meeting lobby. This feature will be on by default and can be managed in the Teams admin center. Rollout begins mid-June 2025 for targeted release and late June 2025 for general availability.
