You can now switch between accounts on the Copilot chat tab on iOS and Android by swiping left to open the left-navigation. The rollout will begin in early June 2025 and complete by late June 2025. No admin action is required, but users should be notified.

Microsoft Viva Glint | User schema enhancements: Rename hierarchies

Admins will soon be able to rename existing hierarchies and levels in Viva Glint from the Manage user attributes page. This feature will be available mid-May 2025 and requires a Viva Glint license. Microsoft Viva Engage: Updated email subscription management

Microsoft Viva Engage will update email subscription management in mid-May 2025, offering a more intuitive experience. Users will manage preferences on modernized pages, with the removal of the “Unsubscribe from all” option. No admin actions are required, but users should update bookmarks and internal documentation.

Microsoft Teams: Enhanced Meeting Protection – Prevent Screen Capture

To address the issue of unauthorized screen captures during meetings, the Prevent Screen Capture feature ensures that if a user attempts to take a screen capture, the meeting window will turn black, thereby protecting sensitive information. This feature will be available on Teams desktop applications (both Windows and Mac) and Teams mobile applications (both iOS and Android). For users joining from unsupported platforms, they will be placed in audio-only mode to maintain the integrity of the meeting’s content.

Product transitions to the cloud.microsoft domain – April 2025

Microsoft products are transitioning to the cloud.microsoft domain by April 2025. The domain was provisioned in early 2023 for enhanced security and unified DNS space. No user action is required as redirection will be automatic. Admins should educate users, update URLs, and ensure network connections to the new domain.

Microsoft Teams: Video clips recording limit increased from 1 minute to 5 minutes

Microsoft Teams is increasing the Video Clips recording limit from 1 minute to 5 minutes. The rollout will occur from late May to late June 2025 for general availability and from mid-July to mid-August 2025 for GCC, GCC High, and DoD. No admin action is required.

New Queues app service plan (Teams Premium)
