Shared Mailboxes as Accounts

Shared mailbox users and delegates will be able to manage settings by adding the mailbox as an account in Outlook for Windows. This feature will be rolled out in stages from May to August 2025. Users with Full Access will see a ‘Promote’ button to add the mailbox as an account. No admin action is required. Microsoft 365 Copilot: Image Generation Usage Limit for Users without a Copilot License

Starting late April 2025, Microsoft 365 commercial users without a Copilot license will have a daily limit on AI image generation in Copilot Chat. Unlimited usage will require a Microsoft 365 Copilot license.

Commercial users who do not have the Microsoft 365 Copilot license will no longer have unlimited use of AI image generation in Copilot Chat.

Microsoft Purview Compliance Portal: Information Protection – Sensitivity Label support in Engage

Your organization can now manually apply Information Protection sensitivity labels in Engage. Sensitivity label support in this new application will allow admins to create labels and configure label publishing policies to determine which users and groups can manually label content in Engage. End users will be able to manually apply labels to Engage communities and in turn classify and protect their sensitive data via privacy and external user access controls.

Rollout starts in mid-May 2025 for Public Preview and completes by mid-August 2025 for General Availability. No admin action is required, but review and notify users about this change.
