Microsoft 365 Copilot: New audio overviews for Word and PDF files in Microsoft OneDrive

Microsoft 365 Copilot will soon offer AI-generated audio overviews for Word documents, PDF files, and Teams meeting recordings stored in OneDrive. This feature requires a Copilot license and will be available globally from early to late May 2025. Users can choose between summary and podcast styles for the audio overviews.

View your organization’s prompts in the redesigned Copilot Prompt Gallery app soon

The Copilot Prompt Gallery app is being redesigned with a new home page and enhanced prompt browsing. It will allow users to create, publish, and manage organizational prompts. Public preview starts in late April 2025, with general availability in early May 2025. Ensure Teams apps and Prompts app are enabled.

Word Copilot’s document snapshot provides a real-time summary, key insights, activity and comment highlights, and coaching suggestions. Features will roll out between April and August 2025. Organizations should update training and documentation accordingly. These features are available to users with a Copilot license. More details can be managed via the Microsoft 365 admin center.

A new Project Manager agent feature in Planner automates status report creation, streamlining the process for generating, viewing, modifying, and sharing reports. Out-of-the-box agents in Microsoft 365 automate tasks and enhance productivity. New agents include Skill Discovery, Interpreter, Facilitator, and Project Manager, with updates available in public preview. Skills will be generally available in June 2025. Users need a Microsoft 365 Copilot license for access. Admins can manage access and configurations via provided documentation links.

PowerPoint users can now select templates to ensure Copilot-generated presentations meet design guidelines. The rollout begins in May 2025. Expanding reference capabilities with Microsoft 365 Copilot in Word

Microsoft 365 Copilot in Word now allows referencing entire folders, supports larger documents up to 1.5 million words or 3000 pages, and can reference up to 20 items. These features will be generally available by early December 2025. Folder referencing is available now for Word for the web and coming to other platforms in July 2025.
