Users can now edit recurring events from a chosen date forward on Outlook mobile by selecting “This and all following events” on Android or iOS. This feature will roll out in May 2025. No admin action is required, but notifying users and updating documentation is recommended.
Microsoft Teams will retire SMS invitations to external partners effective May 17, 2025. Users can continue inviting external partners via email or by signing up for a two-way SMS calling plan. This change requires no admin action, but users should be informed, and documentation updated.
New Microsoft Outlook for Windows will support category shortcuts, allowing users to quickly categorize emails using predefined shortcuts. Rollout starts mid-May 2025 for Targeted Release and mid-June 2025 for General Availability. No admin action is required; users can manage shortcuts in Outlook Settings.
Microsoft 365 Global Admins can now configure the new Enhanced Personalization control for Microsoft 365 Copilot, which is defaulted to “on” and enhances user experience by processing communications data. This control is part of the default configuration for Copilot licenses, with features to be released in the coming months. Places Admins can use a user-friendly interface to manage their Places directory data such as create, view and edit buildings, floors, sections, rooms and desks.
We’re making it possible to jump to a row in the Message List by typing. For example, while sorted by “From”, you’ll be able to type “Philip” to jump to the first row where the sender is “Philip”. #outlookforwindows
Managers will be able to export default sections from the Team Summary report in Viva Glint directly to editable PowerPoint slides. This enhancement allows for easier and quicker consumption of this report outside Viva Glint, compared to the previous export method which included static screenshots.
