Microsoft Viva Connections will introduce a new Folder card in the Dashboard, providing a quick view of document library files. The rollout will begin mid-April 2025 and complete by late April 2025. No admin action is required, but notifying users and updating documentation is recommended.
Coming soon: You will be able to extend Microsoft Purview to the network layer by integrating Purview with your preferred Secure Access Service Edge (SASE) / Security Service Edge (SSE) solution. Through this integration, admins can intercept and inspect traffic flowing through the network layer to identify the presence of sensitive data. This enables admins to detect sensitive data shared with untrusted cloud applications through browsers, applications, APIs, add-ins, and more, including common generative AI, cloud storage, and content sharing services. The signals from inline discovery for the network further enrich Purview solutions including Data Security Posture Management (DSPM) and Insider Risk Management (IRM), helping admins better understand how to reduce data exfiltration risks to locations outside of their organization. Users will be able to reference TXT files when creating presentations with Microsoft 365 Copilot in PowerPoint. This feature requires a Microsoft 365 Copilot license and applies to PowerPoint on Windows, Mac, and the web. The rollout starts in April 2025 for public preview and May 2025 for general availability. No admin action is required.
The AI adoption category page in Adoption Score helps adoption specialists measure progress towards making Microsoft 365 Copilot a daily habit. We are changing the name of this page to AI adoption, and the corresponding score to AI adoption score. We’re updating the page with new Microsoft 365 Copilot usage metrics and organizational messages, and we’re adding AI adoption score to the total Adoption Score.
As previously communicated, support for Office 2016 and Office 2019 will end on October 14, 2025. After that date, no further updates, security fixes, or technical support will be available for these versions of Office. While the applications may continue to function, using unsupported software could lead to potential security risks, compliance risks, system incompatibilities, and other issues.
We are introducing the Draft with Copilot feature for Copilot Studio. This feature will help write or rewrite your prompts using Copilot to produce better outcomes. This feature will be available on May 15, 2025.
We are announcing the Configure feedback surveys using Copilot Studio feature. With this feature you can create and manage surveys that go out to the customers after a call or conversation ends. This feature will be generally available for the voice channel on April 30, 2025. Please note, this feature will remain in public preview for all other channels.
Starting in June 2025, we are updating the prerequisites for sharing cloud flows. With this update, users must be members of the environment where the flow is located.
