Starting October to November 2027, Microsoft will retire the isAttestationEnforced and keyRestrictions properties from the fido2AuthenticationMethodConfiguration API. These will sync with new properties in the updated passkey policy API schema during transition. Admins must update configurations, automations, and integrations accordingly.
Microsoft 365 Copilot will enable users to generate and share AI-generated file summaries directly from Windows File Explorer and OneDrive activity center starting January 2026. The feature is enabled by default, requires a Copilot license, and needs no admin setup. It enhances collaboration by providing context when sharing files.
Microsoft Teams is enhancing its multilingual meeting experience by adding automatic spoken language detection, a “Preparing” status indicator for the Interpreter, and simplified settings with clear explanations. These updates, available to Microsoft 365 Copilot users, will roll out from December 2025 with no admin action required.
SharePoint is introducing custom file upload forms in document libraries for internal file and metadata collection without exposing the full library. Available late Nov 2025, this feature lets owners create and share forms internally, with submissions saved in designated folders. No admin action required; external sharing is unsupported.
Microsoft Edge for Business will introduce a “What’s New” page that opens automatically after major updates, highlighting new features in Edge and Microsoft 365 Copilot. This rollout starts mid-December 2025, is on by default, and can be disabled by admins via policy. No immediate admin action is required.
Starting mid-November 2025, Microsoft 365 admins can archive service health issues in the Service Health Dashboard either for themselves or their entire organization. Archived issues move to the Issue history tab and can be restored. This feature is enabled by default with no action required.
Microsoft Teams will introduce a private chat for organizers, co-organizers, and presenters in structured meetings, webinars, and town halls, unifying backroom chat behavior. Rollout starts January 2026, with default backroom chat ON for all town halls. Admins can manage these settings in Teams policies.
Interpreter agent support in Microsoft Teams Rooms on Windows with Teams Rooms Pro license enables real-time interpretation in nine languages, offering simulated or automated voice options. Rolling out mid-Dec 2025, it includes 20 hours/month interpretation per room, with privacy safeguards and tenant controls for admins.
In mid-February 2026, the Intune Data Warehouse will be updated with a new architecture, resetting historical data to about 30 days, changing licensing definitions, and regenerating surrogate keys. The Intune Data Warehouse (beta) Power BI connector will be discontinued; users must switch to the OData feed.
We are announcing the availability of a new Dataverse SDK that enables the development of automated, intelligent processes (agentic workflows) by allowing seamless integration with Python’s ecosystem for data analysis, AI, and workflow orchestration. The Dataverse SDK for Python will be available for public preview on November 19, 2025.
