Administrative units allow admins with appropriate permissions to subdivide the organization into smaller units, and then assign specific admins or role groups that can manage only the members of those units. For example, German administrators can only create/manage policies for only German users, and German investigators can only investigate alerts and activities from only German users.
Microsoft Purview Insider Risk Management correlates various signals to identify potential malicious or inadvertent insider risks, such as IP theft, data leakage, and security violations. Insider Risk Management enables customers to create policies based on their own internal policies, governance, and organizational requirements. Built with privacy by design, users are pseudonymized by default, and role-based access controls and audit logs are in place to help ensure user-level privacy.

Users can now interact with an instance of a live streaming town hall instance in the same way they would a recorded piece of content when viewing via desktop or web. DVR functionality in town hall enables event attendees to pause and move forward or back within a town hall, navigate to any previously-streamed timestamp, and other abilities that make interacting with a town hall more convenient and makes it easier to digest the content being presented. This feature is available for town hall instances that have been set up by an Organizer role with a Teams Premium license.

Microsoft Teams is introducing a new Project Studio environment for immersive meetings and Microsoft Mesh events, optimized for small group collaboration. Rolling out starts in early November 2024, with general availability by late December 2024. No admin action is required for the rollout.

Admins should adjust BCL settings accordingly.

Microsoft Viva Engage is updating its page header to be more streamlined, with relevant content and highlighted key actions. Icon/avatar sizes are reduced to minimize overlap.
