Design Ideas now provides formatting suggestions for the quick links webpart. This includes suggesting icons and images for a given link, as well as showing how the webpart would look with different card sizes, for single quick link webparts in a section.
When a Chat and a Page are open side by side, prompts within the Chat can now be used to modify or add to the contents of the Page.
In this update, we are adding two new email indicators to Insider Risk Management.
1. Sending email with attachments to free public domains: This alerts when business-sensitive data is potentially leaked from a work email account to a free public domain email, potentially leading to a data security incident.
2. Sending email with attachments to self: This alerts when business-sensitive data is potentially leaked from a work email account to user’s personal email account or emailing self, potentially leading to a data security incident.
Admins with appropriate permissions can enable these indicators from the settings page and use these new indicators in the data leaks or data theft policy template.

When you open a PowerPoint presentation, Copilot will automatically create a summary, making it easy to understand the content quickly.
With this update, IRM will start supporting collection policies. Collection policies allow customers to scope classification (SITs – Sensitive Information Types) and activities for scoped users. For device indicators based IRM policy, required collection policies will be automatically created in the background.

Microsoft Purview will support scoping Data Loss Prevention (DLP) policies for devices and device groups in Endpoint. This feature allows different policies for the same user on different devices. Public preview starts mid-March 2025, with general availability in April 2025. No admin action is required before rollout.
Microsoft Purview’s new feature displays policy tips only after recipients are added to an email, ensuring relevance and preventing confusion. This will roll out globally from late March to early April 2025. No admin action is required, but user notification and documentation updates are recommended.
Starting March 28, 2025, Microsoft SharePoint Online Management Shell will replace the IDCRL authentication protocol with OAuth. Admins should install the updated version from the Microsoft Download Center. No admin action is required, but reviewing current configurations and notifying users is recommended.
The enforcement of RFC compliance changes for Microsoft Teams voicemail messages has been postponed to May 2025. The “From” field will be updated to meet RFC 6854 standards, changing to noreply@skype.voicemail.microsoft.com. Organizations should allowlist this email by May 2025. Early adoption is available upon request.
