Microsoft Defender for Office 365: Microsoft Secure Score recommendation update for Spam confidence level

The Microsoft Secure Score recommendation for Spam confidence level (SCL) in Microsoft Defender for Office 365 will be updated. Post-update, the recommendation will only trigger if a transport rule explicitly sets SCL to -1. The rollout will start in early November 2024 and complete by early December 2024, potentially increasing the Secure Score for some organizations. No admin action is required before the rollout.

Microsoft OneDrive and Microsoft SharePoint: New setting to disable presence in the file viewer

A new setting in Microsoft OneDrive and SharePoint allows administrators to disable the user presence feature in the file viewer for specific site collections using the SharePoint Online Management Shell. This update, part of Microsoft 365 Roadmap ID 419814, will roll out from late October to late November 2024. No action is required before the rollout.

Preview new Graph connectors for Microsoft 365 Copilot

Microsoft 365 admin center: New Microsoft Search analytics for queries and Microsoft Graph connections

The Microsoft 365 admin center will introduce new Microsoft Search analytics pages for query distribution, user interactions, and Microsoft Graph connections. The rollout begins early October 2024 and completes by mid-October 2024, with no admin action required beforehand. Admins can access detailed information and prepare by reviewing current configurations.

Microsoft Teams: Net Promoter Score survey on Teams Rooms on Android

Microsoft Teams Rooms on Android will soon feature a Net Promoter Score survey, allowing users to rate and comment on their likelihood to recommend Teams Rooms. This will be rolled out globally from early November to late November 2024 and in GCCH from early to mid-December 2024. The feature will be on by default but can be managed by admins.

Microsoft Purview compliance portal: Insider Risk Management – Ability to increase configuration of CPU and GPU device resource utilization limits in Forensic Evidence

,Insider Risk Management Administrators will now be able to increase the CPU and GPU device resource utilization limit for all devices uploading Forensic Evidence clips in their organization. Forensic Evidence will now allow up to 31% CPU and GPU device resource utilization, up from the prior maximum limit of 5%. This enhancement reduces interruptions in the recording and uploading of clips.

Microsoft Purview Insider Risk Management correlates various signals to identify potential malicious or inadvertent insider risks, such as IP theft, data leakage, and security violations. Insider Risk Management enables customers to create policies based on their own internal policies, governance, and organizational requirements. Built with privacy by design, users are pseudonymized by default, and role-based access controls and audit logs are in place to help ensure user-level privacy.
