This feature allows admins to easily open Content Viewer and view the content of the document that has triggered a DLP alert. Admins can pass the event ID and the creation time of the DLP rule match alert to the deep link to open and view the related document in the Content Viewer.

Microsoft Compliance center: Microsoft Purview | Endpoint DLP – Restrict copying sensitive files to remote desktop (RDP) sessions (U.S. Government clouds)

With this update, you will be able to create Microsoft Purview Data Loss Prevention policies to regulate the sharing of sensitive data over an RDP session. DLP controls for RDP include support for deploying DLP policies in Audit mode, Block with Override mode, and Block mode.

Microsoft 365 compliance center: Microsoft Purview | Endpoint data loss prevention (DLP) for macOS (U.S. Government clouds)

Endpoint DLP for macOS extends the activity monitoring and protection capabilities of DLP to sensitive items that are on macOS devices. Once the Mac devices are onboarded into device management, the information about what users are doing with sensitive items is made visible in Activity explorer and you can enforce protective actions on those items via DLP policies.

Migration of compliance management features from Classic EAC to Microsoft Purview Data Lifecycle Management

To create a consistent experience for our customers to manage compliance across all applications, we are announcing the migration of three legacy Exchange features – retention tags, retention policies, and journal rules. These features were previously available in the ‘Classic Exchange admin center’ under ‘compliance management’, and are moving to the Microsoft Purview compliance portal, under the ‘Data lifecycle management’ solution.

Microsoft Purview eDiscovery (Premium): Use Graph connectors as a data source (preview)

Microsoft 365 admins can now connect third-party applications into their environments via Graph Connectors. With this public preview update, content ingested via connectors will now be available for eDiscovery workflows including collections, review, and export.

OneDrive: Bulk Automated Rename

When OneDrive can’t sync a file or folder because its name contains invalid characters, OneDrive can sometimes rename it for you. During automatic renaming, OneDrive replaces each invalid character with an underscore.

AAD Security Reader Role in Microsoft Defender for Cloud Apps – Alignment with Microsoft 365 Defender

Currently the AAD “Security Reader” role can manage Microsoft Defender for Cloud Apps alerts, however, it can only view alerts from all other security workloads. The AAD “Security Reader” role update will now be aligned with AAD role definition to provide clarity and prevent confusion of the same role use.
