This unlocks new scenarios like searching our repository of public APIs, visually selecting the main integration endpoints and improving the maintainability of existing plugins by using a workspace file and allowing full regeneration of plugin files.

Microsoft Copilot (Microsoft 365): Copilot in Teams meetings for GCC

Copilot helps you run more effective meetings, get up to speed on the conversation, organize key discussion points, and summarize key actions so it’s clear what you need to do next. Users can type any question or use predetermined prompts during or after the meeting, and their interactions with Copilot are only visible to them. This feature is already available in worldwide multitenant and will now be available for customers in GCC.

Microsoft Teams: Live Event scheduling is now available in the new Teams client

Teams Live Event scheduling is now natively available in the new Teams client. Previously, event organizers were redirected to a web-based scheduling flow, which has now been brought into the New Teams client. This allows organizers to create, edit, and manage event resources all within the newest Teams experience. This is available across desktop, Mac, Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI), and Cloud Video Interop (CVI).

Large Events: End Session for Attendees and Return Presenters to Green Room

Organizers and presenters in Microsoft 365 can end sessions for attendees using the new “End Event” button, which also returns presenters to the Green Room. This feature, associated with Roadmap ID 470432, will roll out from early February to early April 2025, depending on the release phase.

Microsoft Defender for Office: Updates to AIR-initiated remediation logging

Microsoft Defender for Office will update logging for AIR-initiated remediation actions to provide more clarity. This will affect logging in Threat Explorer, Advanced Hunting, and email entities. The rollout begins early February 2025 and completes by mid-February. No admin action is required before the rollout.

Microsoft Viva Engage will introduce new reply and reaction notifications in Microsoft Teams, starting mid-January 2025. This feature will be on by default and users can adjust settings in Teams.
