,OCR Cost Estimator allows you to estimate the potential cost for using Optical Character Recognition. This means that you will no longer be required to set up an Azure Subscription for billing first and can accurately estimate the cost you would have incurred while using OCR. This will help you to identify the optimal configuration settings for OCR as per your requirements. Cost Estimator can be used for 30 days and will not scan images for sensitive content.

Secure/Multipurpose Internet Mail Extensions encryption support in new Outlook for Windows

New Outlook for Windows is rolling out S/MIME support for sending and reading signed and encrypted emails. This feature is accessible in Options > More Options and will not impact organizations not using New Outlook or without S/MIME setup. Rollout is automatic, requiring no admin action but user notification is advised.

Microsoft Teams: Edit your display name in meetings

Participants in Microsoft Teams meetings will soon be able to edit their display name temporarily during the meeting. This feature is optional and controlled by meeting organizers. Rollouts begin in February 2025 and continue through April 2025, depending on the release schedule. Admins can enable this feature in the Teams admin center.

Microsoft 365 admin center: New Feature access management UI in Admin Center

Through the new Feature Access management user interface, admins will be able to manage feature access settings directly in Microsoft 365 admin center. Feature access management allows admins to use access policies to manage which users can access specific features in Viva apps, so you can tailor your deployments to meet your local regulatory or business requirements. Previously, these policies could only be managed with Microsoft PowerShell cmdlets. After this rollout, admins can choose to use either Microsoft 365 admin center or PowerShell to manage feature access. Existing policies set for an organization will persist and can be managed in both places.
