The July 2024 Windows non-security preview update is now available for Windows 10, version 22H2


Python in Excel allows you to bring the capabilities of Python directly into the Excel grid. As a part of this feature, users with access to Excel for Windows will be able to add Python formulas directly into their workbooks without any installation required. These Python formulas will be run by Excel in a secure container on the Microsoft Cloud with enterprise-level security as a compliant Microsoft 365 connected experience.

These updates to Amplify Reports and Analytics provide a series of improvements to the existing experience, such as large audience scenarios to better reflect reach across the enterprise. Viva Amplify reports will now be integrated with Campaign Brief and will also include historical data. This data will be available as graphs on the reports and to download as a CSV. There will also be features for copying charts as images and downloading to PowerPoint. The historical data experience provides unique views, promotions, and reactions for the last 7, 30, 90 days, and the last 12 months.

We are introducing the Community Expert in Viva Engage to enhance the trust and utility of knowledge in your communities. Experts will be able to endorse accurate and credible answers and be recognized as community experts with a special label next to their name.

Use Microsoft Copilot in Viva Pulse to receive an AI-generated summary of your results from a Viva Pulse report. Viva Pulse authors can share it with their team members as well use it to promote transparency.

Viva Pulse authors can now choose to share open text responses as part of their shared reports. Authors can also preview their shared reports and choose to update the visibility of open text responses at any point in time.

We are announcing that the ‘Created by’ column on the Environments page in the Power Platform admin center (PPAC) is being moved and the information shown in this column will become accessible on the environment details page.

Microsoft Teams will soon allow town hall and webinar organizers to download Q&A sessions as CSV files. This feature will be globally available from mid-August to early September 2024 and will be accessible by default on Teams for Desktop on PC and Mac. Organizers can access the report under the ‘Reports’ section after the event. No admin action is required for this rollout.

Microsoft Teams Rooms on Windows will soon allow text and UI resizing through display scaling settings, enhancing accessibility. This feature, part of Teams Rooms licenses, requires app version 5.1 and supports various scaling combinations for different resolutions. Rollout begins early August 2024, with completion by mid-August. No admin action is required before the rollout.
