The Microsoft Teams app update 1449/1.0.94.2024071104 is rolling out mid to late July 2024, offering new features like explicit consent for recording, rich call history, enhanced call transfer, simplified contact management, and a private line feature. Microsoft Teams: Multiple camera view for Teams Rooms on Windows

Teams Rooms on Windows will soon support sending up to four USB camera feeds simultaneously, allowing remote participants to view all cameras at once. This feature is opt-in and requires admin configuration. Rollout begins mid-September 2024, with documentation updates to follow before launch.

Microsoft 365 admin center: Self-service purchase notifications

Starting July 2024, Microsoft 365 admins will receive notifications for self-service purchases made by users. This feature provides awareness, actionable insights, and is on by default. Admins can manage or cancel subscriptions and should familiarize themselves with the self-service purchase FAQ and policy. Rollout completes by late August 2024. No admin action is required before the rollout.

Outlook: Replace quick compose pop-up with inline appointment creation in new Outlook for Windows and web

When single clicking on an empty time slot on the calendar surface, the quick compose pop-up will no longer be shown – instead, you will be able to create an appointment by typing directly in the time slot on the calendar grid, just as you can in classic Outlook for Windows. There will be no change to double click behavior, the full compose form will still open as it does today. #newoutlookforwindows

Microsoft Copilot for Microsoft 365: New Scheduled prompts feature

Microsoft 365 introduces a new Scheduled prompts feature for Copilot, enabling automated prompts at specific times in Teams, Office.com/chat, and Outlook. Available early to late October 2024, it requires a Copilot license and a Power Automate license. Admins can manage this feature through the Optional Connected Experiences admin setting.
