Microsoft Teams will soon allow users to add Microsoft 365 Copilot agents to group chats for increased productivity, without needing a Copilot license. The feature will roll out in early February 2025 and will be available on various desktop platforms and the web. It will be enabled by default but can be disabled if desired.

The update enables SharePoint Embedded Administrators (SPE Admins) to identify the different kind of containers (user, tenant, and group) and the principal owner associated with the container.
Insider Risk Management Administrators will now be able to increase the CPU and GPU device resource utilization limit for all devices uploading Forensic Evidence clips in their organization. Forensic Evidence will now allow up to 31% CPU and GPU device resource utilization, up from the prior maximum limit of 5%. This enhancement reduces interruptions in the recording and uploading of clips.
Microsoft Purview Insider Risk Management correlates various signals to identify potential malicious or inadvertent insider risks, such as IP theft, data leakage, and security violations. Insider Risk Management enables customers to create policies based on their own internal policies, governance, and organizational requirements. Built with privacy by design, users are pseudonymized by default, and role-based access controls and audit logs are in place to help ensure user-level privacy.
We are announcing the share records when composing emails in Outlook feature for Copilot for Sales. This feature will make it easy to find and show a rich embedded adaptive card to recipients. Typing the ‘/’ key followed by the name of the record automatically completes a CRM record name and adds it to the email. This feature will reach general availability on January 20, 2025.
The AI and Copilot Resources Provider will be visible by default to users with Copilot licenses in Microsoft 365, with rollout starting late December 2024. Admins can manage visibility and permissions for this content, which will also be searchable by users. No admin action is required for the rollout.
Defender for Office 365 now allows administrators to configure the system to send messages reported by third-party add-ins to Microsoft for analysis. This feature is part of the Microsoft 365 Roadmap ID 406167 and will be available in early February 2025. Configuration steps are provided for users to enable this setting.
Delegates in the new Microsoft Outlook for Windows and web will be able to create and manage categories in the account owner’s Calendar. Rollout begins mid-January 2025 for Targeted Release and mid-February 2025 for General Availability. No admin action is required for this update.
