Microsoft Purview compliance portal: Insider Risk Management – New email scoring capabilities

Insider risk management (IRM) email scoring logic is being updated. With current logic, a single email to multiple recipients is counted multiple times, creating noise by increasing the risk score. In the new logic, a single email to multiple recipients is counted once, and this new principle is applicable to the email containing multiple unallowed domains or priority content. Once this is rolled out, all the email insights in alerts will display the new count and score.

Microsoft Purview Insider Risk Management correlates various signals to identify potential malicious or inadvertent insider risks, such as IP theft, data leakage, and security violations. Insider Risk Management enables customers to create policies based on their own internal policies, governance, and organizational requirements. Built with privacy by design, users are pseudonymized by default, and role-based access controls and audit logs are in place to help ensure user-level privacy.

Google Groups to M365 Modern Groups Migration Service is a 1st party service for migrating Google groups with the M365 Admin center as a new feature, so that Google compete customers moving to M365 would have the ability to automatically create the groups, its members, member conversations and all permissions to M365 Groups without the need to recreate the groups which is the only solution for customers moving from Google.

Microsoft Teams: Intelligent Event Recap in Town hall and webinar (Premium)

Intelligent recap is now available for town hall and webinar event instances, just like the intelligent recap experience you are used to in meetings. Event organizer, co-organizers and presenters can now easily explore the meeting recording by speakers and topics, and access AI-generated meeting notes, AI-generated tasks, and name mentions. In addition to availability with a Teams Premium license, intelligent event recap features are also available in Copilot for Microsoft 365 licenses.

Viva Engage: Community analytics update

Coming soon: Updates to community analytics features for Microsoft Viva Engage. After this rollout, users will be able to keep up with their community’s activities in real time. We have added additional data ranges to support periods of 7 days, 28 days, 90 days, and 365 days. We have also added a new top conversations table that displays the conversations with the most engagement in the community and new Q&A engagement metrics, including an overview of most popular questions.

SharePoint: Enhanced functionalities to manage SharePoint Embedded Containers through SharePoint Admin Center

The new update empowers the SharePoint Embedded Administrators (SPE Admins) to manage their containers better through sorting and filtering capabilities as well as set sensitivity labels on containers. The SPE Admins now also have user role management capabilities to add, reassign, or remove users from various roles of a container.
