Intune will have the ability to temporarily remove apps and config from a single device, and then initiate a restore. This is intended to help solve customers’ challenges external to Intune and quickly restore end user productivity.

Microsoft Teams: Updated developer tools to share content from Teams apps to chats, channels, and meetings

Microsoft Teams is updating developer tools to enable sharing content from Teams apps to chats, channels, and meetings. The rollout, starting early June 2024, will combine Share-in-Meeting controls with Share to Teams dialog, introduce Present Now feature, and enhance future meeting content sharing. No admin action is required before the rollout.

Microsoft Viva Engage: Results in Workplace Search

Microsoft Viva Engage will show search results from public Communities, Storylines, and Answers on office.com, sharepoint.com, and Bing at Work. This feature starts rolling out in early July 2024 and completes by early August 2024, with no admin action required.

Microsoft Teams: Channel cards

Microsoft Teams will introduce Channel cards providing an overview of a channel, including description, activity, team name, and membership. They will appear on desktop and web by hovering over channel names and offer quick access to settings and management. Rollout begins early July 2024, completing by late July 2024, with no admin action required.

PowerPoint: Microsoft Copilot (Microsoft 365) – Copilot can create presentations from a PDF file

Copilot in PowerPoint will now be able to support automatically generating a presentation based on a PDF file. This is in addition to the existing support for automatically generating a presentation based on a Word document.

Microsoft Purview compliance portal: Priva Privacy Management – Multicloud environments

Microsoft Priva Privacy Risk Management extends its overexposure policies into data contained in Azure SQL, Azure Data Lake Storage, and Amazon S3. Organizations can create privacy policies that specify which data sources, databases, or storage buckets are in scope and Priva will automatically notify data asset owners when matches are detected.

Microsoft Copilot (Microsoft 365): Highlight and rewrite for draft with Copilot in new Outlook for Windows and web

Similar to Microsoft Word, highlight and rewrite capabilities will allow users to select specific sentences in their email draft and have them rewritten by Copilot. Using highlight and rewrite when drafting with Copilot in Outlook, users will be able to give detailed instructions on how to rewrite and be able to modify tone and length. This feature will be available in the new Outlook for Windows and web. #newoutlookforwindows

Microsoft Defender XDR: Please take action regarding your preview features status

Microsoft Defender XDR is introducing a new experience for accessing preview features. Users will be automatically added to the Microsoft Defender for Cloud Apps public preview on July 7, 2024, unless they update their preview features settings by July 1, 2024. Failure to act implies consent to the changes.
