We are announcing the general availability of solution-aware cloud flow sharing limits to the Power Platform. You can now start to control how you want your makers to share their solution-aware cloud flows. Customers should have access to this control for their managed environments by December 13, 2024.
We are announcing the Summarize records with Copilot feature for Dynamics 365 Field Service. This feature provides technicians with a quick summary of their work orders, outlining key details and other contextual information. This feature will reach general availability on December 16, 2024.
The Microsoft 365 admin center will soon support Tenant Restriction v2, enhancing security by limiting user access via external accounts. This feature, part of cross-tenant access settings, will be rolled out from mid-November to late December 2024 and will be off by default. No admin action is required before the rollout.
Viva Insights’ network metrics and cross-collaboration queries have been updated for better connection identification and data protection. Rollout starts mid-November 2024, with minor changes in query values expected. No action is required from organizations.
The message emphasizes the importance of keeping Microsoft Teams desktop clients updated for security and compliance. Teams updates automatically, but admins should ensure this feature is properly configured. Starting November 12th, 2024, outdated clients will receive notifications, and by December 4th, 2024, a blocking page will appear for versions older than 90 days. Admins need to prepare by updating Teams and verifying configurations.
The new Microsoft Outlook for Windows will offer read-only support for .pst files, allowing users to open, read, and search emails in .pst files. Calendar, Contacts, and Tasks data in .pst files will not be accessible in this phase. Rollout begins late November 2024 for Targeted Release and mid-January 2025 for General Availability. Outlook Data File support is enabled by default but can be managed with the OutlookDataFile mailbox policy.
Microsoft Copilot will introduce a user control for web searches, allowing users to enable or disable sending queries to Bing. Rollout starts mid-December 2024 and should complete by late January 2025. Admins can disable this feature, and no action is required for the rollout.
Copilot for Security in DLP is capable of summarizing DLP policies. This enhancement enables DLP admins to gain insights on coverage of policies viz. location, classifiers and notifications, and more.
DLP admins can get these insights on all the policies or on few selected policies. They will be able to use prompts to gain a deeper view of how a policy is configured for their digital landscape. This helps them align their data posture on a regular basis and make corrections to policy posture as needed.
Introducing exciting new features to help you better understand and improve adoption and impact of Copilot for Microsoft 365 through the Copilot Dashboard. Enhancements include the following: supporting multi-select capabilities for Scope filters to facilitate group comparisons and the ability to upload HR organizational data for Scope filter updates; and synchronized date ranges across the Readiness and Adoption pages for consistency and ease of analysis.
