Starting in early June, we will be rolling out a new feature that allows end users to sort, filter, and search their canvas app galleries with Copilot.

Microsoft Teams introduces an Explicit Consent policy for user content in meetings, requiring participant agreement for audio and video use in transcription, recording, or Microsoft Copilot. Organizations can enable this policy through the Teams Admin Center. Rollout starts mid-June 2024, with completion by late June 2024.

Microsoft Defender XDR is introducing Sender’s copy clean-up features to enhance email remediation. This includes integration with Soft delete, wide support across platforms, and an undo capability. It applies to intra-organization and outbound emails, with a rollout expected from end of May to late July 2024. Admins will have improved management of Sent items with no action required before the rollout.

Microsoft Purview | Information Protection will soon allow members of a mail-enabled security group to view and respond to encrypted mail in a shared mailbox using Outlook for Windows. Rollout begins late June 2024, with general availability expected by late October 2024. Users need Outlook for Windows Version 2402 or higher. No admin action is required before the rollout.

Microsoft Defender for Office 365 will introduce a feature to automatically remove allow list entries 45 days after their last use, starting late June 2024. This applies to customers with Microsoft Exchange Online Protection and Defender for Office 365 Plan 1 or 2. Users are advised to update their allow entries to utilize this new feature.

New RBAC permissions for endpoint security policies are being introduced, allowing more granularity. The ‘Security baselines’ permission will be updated to include only specific workloads, with others getting their own permissions. No immediate action is required as Intune will update permissions automatically. Stay tuned for release details.
