Diagnostics for Microsoft Information Protection and Data Loss Prevention will soon be available in the Microsoft Purview compliance portal, with a public preview in late October 2024 and general availability in early January 2025. This feature will be on by default and requires no admin action prior to rollout.
Microsoft Viva Glint and Viva Insights are integrating to provide sentiment and collaboration data. A new Power BI report will be available in the Viva advanced insights app and Viva Glint dashboard. Public Preview is available now, with full rollout expected by mid-November 2024. No admin action is required before the rollout.
We are launching a new feature for a Viva Insights Analyst who will be able to receive a query notification email that provides them with the status of their recently completed query. The notification email will be triggered both for a successful and failed query executed in Advanced Insights (Analyst workbench). Both custom queries and Power BI reports are in the scope of this feature. The Viva Insights Analyst can access the Analyst query notification email from their inbox.

Teams phone device users will be able to share access to their phone line with a specific group of users, without a structured delegation system. This enables group members to receive calls and initiate calls on behalf of others, enabling a simple and collaborative communication experience.
Rewrite by Copilot in Edge, which lets users edit typed text for tone, format, and length within an open page in Microsoft Edge, is being updated to include enterprise data protection for commercial customers. Once Rewrite is available, users signed in with a Microsoft Entra ID will have enterprise data protection when using the feature in Microsoft Edge.
