Users will be able to copy and paste emails in Outlook using the shortcuts Ctrl+C and Ctrl+V, allowing them to quickly transfer emails to the desired folder, streamlining workflow, and enhancing productivity. This feature will be available in the new Outlook for Windows and web. #newoutlookforwindows
In this update, we are enhancing the existing email insight alerts to provide additional information when business-sensitive data is potentially leaked from a work email account to a free public domain email, potentially leading to a data security incident. The new domain detection group “Free public domains” will list the common domains used for personal email accounts. Admins with appropriate permissions can choose to select these domains in their indicator variants.
Microsoft Purview Insider Risk Management correlates various signals to identify potential malicious or inadvertent insider risks, such as IP theft, data leakage, and security violations. Insider Risk Management enables customers to create policies based on their own internal policies, governance, and organizational requirements. Built with privacy by design, users are pseudonymized by default, and role-based access controls and audit logs are in place to help ensure user-level privacy.
Audit Search allows customers to retrieve audit logs relevant to a security or compliance investigation. With this change, customers will now be able to search for relevant audit logs using additional fields such as Record ID, UserKey, UserType, and ClientIP.
Enhance Insider Risk Management by incorporating communication compliance policy matches as a new indicator for detecting various communication risks, including inappropriate text. Additionally, our system now extends its capabilities to identify potential financial regulatory compliance breaches and violations of any custom communication compliance policy on Teams, Exchange, Yammer, Copilot, or third-party channels. This expansion ensures a comprehensive approach to risk detection in diverse communication scenarios.
Elevate your Connections experience with more control over what appears in the spotlight section. Operators will have the ability to pin items, including hyperlinks from any source, onto the spotlight section and select SharePoint sites as additional content sources to dynamically populate the spotlight section.
If a user attends a meeting hosted by an external tenant, the IT admin of the person attending the externally hosted meeting can decide in which externally hosted meetings the user can share their content.
Loop components will be available in Microsoft OneNote, enhancing collaboration and productivity. Rollout for OneNote Web starts early April 2024, and for the Desktop App, early June 2024. Users can insert Loop components for real-time collaboration. Admins should update policies and documentation to prepare. Microsoft 365 Roadmap ID 379968 is associated with this update.
Viva Goals will allow users to attach images to check-in notes and dashboard updates. This feature will be generally available in early May 2024, with no other functionality changes for users with existing permissions. Documentation will be updated before the rollout. No admin action is required.
Admins can perform a bulk replacement or removal of a retention label using the Purview compliance portal. They can perform the action across the entire tenant or targeted to specific content using KQL and static or adaptive scopes.
