Microsoft Teams: Save meeting content with collaborative annotations as a Microsoft Whiteboard

In Microsoft Teams, presenters can enable annotations during screen sharing, allowing all participants to collaborate live. Meeting content with annotations can be saved as a Microsoft Whiteboard, accessible for continued collaboration post-meeting. Rollout begins late May 2024, with no admin action required.

Microsoft Edge: Auto-discarding Sleeping Tabs

Tabs that have been sleeping for a long time will be discarded to save memory. When a user navigates back to a discarded tab, the tab will need to be reloaded. This can be managed through the AutoDiscardSleepingTabsEnabled policy. This policy will be enabled if the SleepingTabsEnabled policy is enabled.

Microsoft Purview compliance portal: Data Loss Prevention for endpoints – Optical Character Recognition (OCR) on Mac Endpoints

In Purview policies like Data loss prevention (DLP), auto labelling can scan for sensitive content in most of the textual files, but images are not supported for content scanning today on Mac endpoint devices. We are adding OCR support on Mac endpoints to detect sensitive content in images and apply policies to protect these images.

Microsoft Purview compliance portal: Purview Activity Explorer – Limiting sensitive data access to “Data Classification Content Viewer” role

With this change, an additional role will be introduced which will be required to “View Source” content and expand on “Sensitive Info Type” surrounding context within Activity Explorer. Only users with the specific role of “Data Classification Content Viewers” will be able to access this sensitive data.
