Stream (Classic) will retire on April 15, 2024, and all unmigrated videos will be deleted. Admins must migrate their tenant’s Stream (Classic) data to Stream (on SharePoint) before the retirement date to prevent data loss. Stream (on SharePoint) offers many capabilities, including recording and playing videos directly in many everyday work and school apps, advanced recording tools, searchability, and analytics. Microsoft has created a migration tool to transfer videos to SharePoint, and admins can also refer to a 1-day migration guide.

Microsoft Teams will require explicit consent from participants for transcription during meetings if the policy ‘get recording and transcription consent’ is turned on. This will roll out worldwide between April and July 2024. Admins should ensure the policy is on. Participants who do not consent cannot unmute, turn on their camera, or share content during the meeting.

Microsoft Purview’s Communication Compliance will introduce contextual summaries of policy matches in Copilot for Security. This feature will help investigators identify potentially risky content and understand the meaning of the content with just one click. Public preview will begin in early April 2024 and general availability worldwide will begin in early June 2024. Users must have a Copilot for Security license and proper permissions to use this feature. Microsoft Purview Communication Compliance provides tools to detect business conduct and regulatory compliance violations.

Interact with Copilot in Outlook, ask questions, or provide instructions directly inside Outlook. Users can type and receive responses from Copilot in a right-hand side panel that can be opened by the user by clicking on the Copilot icon in the top nav bar. #newoutlookforwindows
