Certain users like experts and admins will be able to mark answers to questions as verified answers to signal a credible and accurate answer. Questions with verified answers will receive its own special verified label and badge at the top of the question and on the verified answer. The goal of verified answers is to help enhance the trust and utility of knowledge in Viva Engage.

If users want to change what appears behind them in their video meeting or call, they can either blur their background, use Teams virtual background templates, or with a Teams Premium license, they can change their Teams meeting background to a branded logo or image specific to their company. With this new feature, now users on the new VDI solution for Teams can also replace their background entirely with any image they want by uploading it through the ‘Video effects and Settings’ option.

Multi-Geo In-Region Routing enables customers with regional data compliance requirements to control the routing of inbound mail so that the mail enters Exchange Online in the geo-region hosting a specific user and the mail is fully processed and stored in the user’s region, even if that user is in a different geo-region than the user’s tenant.
The Delegate Onboarding feature aims to streamline the process of assigning delegate and delegate manager roles within the Viva Engage platform. By allowing users to request delegate permissions from delegators directly, the feature seeks to reduce the cognitive load and time costs associated with the current manual process, ultimately facilitating faster and more efficient delegate assignments.
With this release, existing news notifications in Viva Connections will now be available in GCC, GCCH and DoD. News notifications are delivered via Microsoft Teams in the desktop, mobile, and web environments in the following scenarios: News is published to a SharePoint team or communication site a user follows or by someone a user works closely with.
News is boosted. Someone comments on a new News post. Someone “Likes” a News post. Someone is @mentioned in a comment on a news post.
With this capability, OneDrive users can open PDF files that are protected with Microsoft Purview Information Protection sensitivity labels and read them using OneDrive mobile apps in read-only mode. Only authorized users will be able to access these PDF files.
Outlook will soon allow using the Alt key for key tips. The rollout starts mid-August 2024, completing by late August for worldwide users, and from mid-September to mid-September for GCC, GCC High, DoD. No admin action is required, but user notification is advised. Microsoft 365 Roadmap ID 403109.
