OneDrive: View hidden files and folders in ‘Shared with you’ view

This feature allows you to view files and folders you have hidden in the “Shared with you” view in OneDrive for Web. You can quickly access files and folders you have hidden by clicking on the ‘Hidden’ button in the filter bar. You can also ‘Unhide’ files and bring them back to the ‘Shared with you’ view.

Microsoft Intune: Hardware backed attestation – enhanced for Windows 11

This will enhance the Windows compliance policy – device health by adding five additional hardware attestation settings specific to Windows 11 using advanced platform security features like Memory Integrity and Access Protection, firmware protection, virtualization-based security, and Early Launch Antimalware protection.

Microsoft Clipchamp desktop app: Work account support

The Microsoft Clipchamp desktop app is introducing support for logins with Azure Active Directory/Entra ID accounts. This means that work accounts will be supported in the desktop app from version 3.x, which is being rolled out gradually to Microsoft 365 organizations. The rollout will begin early May 2024 and is expected to be completed by early June 2024. Users will not need to access Clipchamp from a web browser and can use the desktop app instead. Admins can manage the desktop app’s availability for users and the availability of Clipchamp’s personal and/or work versions in the desktop app.

Microsoft Outlook Mobile: To Do integration

Microsoft is rolling out To Do app integration in Outlook Mobile for Android and iOS for all commercial users starting from early April 2024 to mid-May 2024. Users need to update Outlook app to the latest version, tap the Apps tab in the navigation bar, and then go to All Apps and tap To Do. Admins can disable the rollout by disabling all MetaOS apps with the Intune app configuration.

Reminder: Stream (Classic) retires on April 15, 2024, and all unmigrated videos will be deleted

Stream (Classic) will be retired on April 15, 2024, and all unmigrated videos will be deleted. Admins must migrate their tenant’s Stream (Classic) data to Stream (on SharePoint) before the retirement date to prevent data loss. Stream (on SharePoint) offers many capabilities, including recording and playing videos directly in many everyday work and school apps, managing video files with the same security and admin controls as the rest of your files in SharePoint and OneDrive, and searching for videos anywhere in Microsoft 365.

Microsoft Viva: Viva Insights leader deep-dive reports focus on customer, business operations, and agility

Microsoft Viva Insights app in Microsoft Teams will release two Out of Box Experience (OOBE) reports for leaders with themes on new hire onboarding and integration, and external focus. The reports will help leaders understand employee onboarding experience, professional development, and external relationships. The rollout will begin in late March 2024 and complete by mid-April 2024. Organizations should review and assess the impact and notify users about the change. Microsoft Outlook Mobile: Open a Teams Meeting chat from the calendar

Microsoft Outlook Mobile users will be able to open Teams Meeting chat directly from the meeting event on their Outlook mobile calendar. This feature will be rolled out in late April 2024 and will be completed by late May 2024. Users will be able to open the chat in the Teams Mobile app, and if the app is not installed, they will be linked to a page asking if they wish to download the Teams Mobile app. No admin action is required for this rollout.

Microsoft Defender for Office 365: New Quarantine release details

Microsoft Defender for Office 365 is rolling out new details on who or what is responsible for releasing a message from quarantine. The Release by field will be propagated with the email address of the user or admin responsible for the release. This will be available in the email summary flyout panel accessible from the Quarantine page. The release will be captured by the system. Admins should update their training documentation. The rollout will begin in late March 2024 and complete by late April 2024.

Microsoft Purview compliance portal: Communication Compliance – User scoping role-based access control (RBAC)

Microsoft Purview Communication Compliance is introducing User Scoping with Role-Based Access Control (RBAC), empowering organizations to delegate management and remediation authority to specific individuals based on regions or organizational units. This new feature introduces delegate management and remediation authority for different people in different regions or organization units with role-based access control (RBAC) using Microsoft Entra administrative units. The rollout will begin late April 2024 and is expected to complete by late May 2024. No admin action is required for this automatic rollout. Access the Communication Compliance solution in the Microsoft Purview compliance portal.
