Eligible customers can activate default labels and policies for Microsoft Purview Information Protection that now extend to meetings.

This feature adds seek bar (preview) thumbnails to Microsoft Stream’s video player. The thumbnails provide a preview of the video content when hovering over the player’s seek bar at a certain timestamp. Currently, it will only be made available for Teams meeting recordings.

Outlook mobile will include the Microsoft Copilot feature by default for users with a qualifying license, starting early August 2024, with completion by early September 2024. The message details updates to Microsoft Defender for Office 365’s ThreatSubmissionAPI, enhancing submission results for better clarity and actionability. These updates apply to email, Teams messages, attachments, URLs, and user reports. The API remains in beta, with a global release date to be announced. Rollout starts early August 2024. Users should check their API setup for necessary changes.


Python in Excel allows you to bring the capabilities of Python directly into the Excel grid. As a part of this feature, users with access to Excel for Windows will be able to add Python formulas directly into their workbooks without any installation required. These Python formulas will be run by Excel in a secure container on the Microsoft Cloud with enterprise-level security as a compliant Microsoft 365 connected experience.

These updates to Amplify Reports and Analytics provide a series of improvements to the existing experience, such as large audience scenarios to better reflect reach across the enterprise. Viva Amplify reports will now be integrated with Campaign Brief and will also include historical data. This data will be available as graphs on the reports and to download as a CSV. There will also be features for copying charts as images and downloading to PowerPoint. The historical data experience provides unique views, promotions, and reactions for the last 7, 30, 90 days, and the last 12 months.
