SharePoint Online’s change history reports now include organization settings reports. Admins can track and review changes made to settings that impact the entire tenant by creating up to ten instances. The feature update will be rolled out in preview beginning in March 2024. Microsoft Viva Learning: Disable LinkedIn Learning premium content

Microsoft Viva Learning is rolling out a feature for admins to disable LinkedIn Learning premium content in Viva Learning for all users in their tenant. This feature will be available worldwide from late March 2024 to mid-April 2024. This rollout does not affect any existing Viva Learning functionality or configuration, and there is no impact for end-users in Viva Learning. To turn off LinkedIn Learning premium content, go to Viva Learning Admin > Manage Providers > LinkedIn Learning. No action is needed to prepare for this rollout.

Viva Learning | New language settings for admins and users

Viva Learning is introducing new language settings for admins and users. Admins can define supported languages in the Available languages setting in the Viva Learning admin page, while users can personalize Viva Learning by choosing their preferred language in the Viva Learning app settings. The rollout will begin in April 2024. After rollout, Viva Learning will only reflect the user Language setting in Viva Learning, and changing the language in Microsoft Teams or a browser will not affect the language setting for Viva Learning. Learning admins should prepare the set of languages that the tenant supports in Viva Learning and inform users about the new capability to change Viva Learning language within the application.

Microsoft Purview Insider Risk Management: Public preview of administrative units support

Microsoft Purview Insider Risk Management is rolling out public preview of administrative units support, allowing admins to subdivide the organization into smaller units and assign specific admins or role groups to manage only the members of those units. Admins can configure administrative units in Azure and assign them to solution admins or members of Insider Risk Management role groups from the permissions area of Microsoft Purview compliance portal. Rollout will begin mid-March 2024 and is expected to be completed by mid-April 2024.

Microsoft Viva Learning | Easily switch across Viva Learning Teams app and Webapp

Microsoft Viva Learning will allow users to easily switch between the Teams app and standalone Webapp using the Webapp button in Teams and Open in Teams option in Webapp. The rollout will begin in early April 2024 and end by mid-June 2024, with no action required from users. The update will enhance Viva Learning features in Teams app and Webapp.

License enforcement for Microsoft Purview Information Protection for sensitivity labels

Starting January 2024, new customers require specific licenses to use or continue using Information Protection sensitivity labels. Existing customers using sensitivity labels without the correct licenses will have a grace period until early April 2024. Admins and users who use Information Protection sensitivity labels need to have the required licenses assigned to them. Microsoft Loop: Guest Sharing

Microsoft Loop will soon allow business-to-business (B2B) guest sharing for workspaces, pages, and components, subject to administrator policy. Sensitivity labels for Loop workspaces, pages, and components will begin rolling out in the first half of 2024. Users within organizations will be able to share Loop workspaces, pages, and components with people outside of their tenant via B2B guest sharing. The rollout will happen automatically by the specified date with no admin action required.

Microsoft Purview Audit: HighCompleteness parameter in Search-UnifiedAuditLog Audit cmdlet

Microsoft is introducing the HighCompleteness parameter to the Search-UnifiedAuditLog cmdlet, which provides a more comprehensive set of audit log records by prioritizing completeness over speed. The parameter can result in slower performance, and it will be available for public preview in mid-March 2024 and for general availability in early April 2024. There will be no immediate impact on existing usage, and users can refer to a sample request to use the new parameter. No admin action is required for the rollout. Microsoft Teams | Shared call history for delegates and delegators

Insider Risk Management policy template limit increase

Microsoft Purview Insider Risk Management will increase the limit number of policies within each insider risk policy template from 5 to 20. The update will roll out from late March 2024 to mid-April 2024. No admin action is required, but users may want to update relevant documentation. The Insider Risk Management solution can be accessed in the Microsoft Purview Compliance Portal.
