Microsoft 365 Health Dashboard will soon be available as a view on the Microsoft 365 admin center home page. The change will take place between mid-March and mid-April 2024 and will not affect the Health page. No action is needed to prepare for this rollout. In the quest to deliver low-friction deployment and proactive management for Microsoft Teams Rooms, the Microsoft Teams Rooms for Windows app now automatically checks for, and installs, new application and Windows updates during the initial setup process, ensuring devices are protected and up to date on day one.

Restricted SharePoint Search (RSS) is a setting that will allow Global/Tenant and SharePoint Admins to disable organization-wide search and select a set of curated SharePoint sites. These selected sites, along with the users’ OneDrive files and content, will then become accessible in search and in the Copilot experiences. This means that whether you have Enterprise Search or Restricted SharePoint Search enabled, users in your organization will still be able to interact with their OneDrive information in Copilot.

Microsoft Teams is migrating recorded custom greetings for voicemail to a new storage location. 99.94% of customers’ custom greetings have been migrated, but for the remaining 0.06% of users who have not received any voicemail in over six months, default greetings will be played instead of any custom recorded greetings starting from May 2024. No action is required, but users who want to ensure their custom recorded greeting is migrated can do so in March and April 2024. Custom greetings entered by text are not affected by this migration.

Outlook for Mac will offer new immersive image themes starting April 2024 for commercial and consumer users. Users can select new themes in Settings > General. No action is needed to prepare for this rollout.

Microsoft Defender for Identity recommendation ‘Remove the attribute ‘password never expires’ from accounts in your domain’ will be gradually withdrawn from Microsoft Secure Score improvement actions starting mid-March 2024. No action is needed from users to prepare for this rollout.

Microsoft Search will soon have content source filters in the All vertical for users with multiple content sources set up, including Microsoft Power BI, Microsoft Viva Learning, and third-party sources indexed using Microsoft Graph Connectors. The rollout will begin in mid-March 2024 and is expected to be completed by late June 2024. No action is needed to prepare for this change, but users may want to notify their users and update relevant documentation. Customization of Graph Connector content sources is possible in the Microsoft 365 admin center.

Microsoft Purview Communication Compliance will release a feature that will reduce detection-to-investigation time from 24 hours to 1 hour for Microsoft Viva Engage private messages and community conversations. The feature will be available in public preview from mid-March 2024 to early April 2024. No action is needed to prepare for this rollout.
