We’re thrilled to announce the addition of a new RBAC (Role-Based Access Control) role in Microsoft Teams Admin Center: the Teams Telephony Admin. This role has been specifically designed to manage telephony-related functions within the Teams Admin Center.
When this will happen:
For organizations with a Teams Room Pro license, admins will be able to configure and require a meeting ID and passcode to join a meeting from a Microsoft Teams Rooms on Windows, to ensure higher levels of security and privacy. This means that, if the IT admin has configured the room to use this feature, the room user is required to enter the meeting ID and passcode when tapping the Join button from the Teams Room calendar.

An organization’s Global Admin is set by default as the Microsoft Viva Glint Admin, but they likely are not the ones using the platform. They need the ability to assign the correct person as their organization’s Viva Glint Admin and remove themselves.
Viva Glint (Service) administrators can now be assigned through the Microsoft 365 Admin Center (MAC) in addition to being able to setup within the Viva Glint product. There will not be changes to existing user roles.
