Deploy Shifts to your Frontline teams at scale

Admins will be empowered to deploy Shifts across their frontline dynamic teams through the Teams Admin Center. They will have the ability to uniformly configure the Shifts app settings, identify schedule owners, and create schedule groups for the Microsoft Teams Shifts app on their frontline teams. This will enable frontline managers to start managing their frontline teams through Shifts with minimal friction.

Microsoft Teams: Meeting Recording

Now, the “Recap” tab for scheduled meetings will include access to the recording and transcript. For meetings that have a “Recap” tab, the previous “Recording & Transcription” tab will be removed since the “Recap” tab will replace it. For meetings that don’t have a “Recap” tab, users can continue to access the recording and transcript from the “Recording & Transcription” tab.

Outlook: Sync feature

A button option to initiate email sync is coming to the new Outlook for Windows and Outlook on the web, this will allow users to ensure that their send and receive email experience is up-to-date. This functionality will be within the View tab of the Ribbon.

Now get Real Time Calendar Notifications in Teams

You can now get the Calendar Notifications in Teams from the Activity Feed.

  • You will get calendar notifications in the Activity Feed for the below scenarios: 
  • Meeting invite (including channel meetings you are explicitly invited to)
  • Meeting updates
  • Meeting cancellations
  • Meeting forwards (as an organizer)
  • When you get a calendar notification, you will see an unread notification in the Activity Feed pane or at the bell icon.
  • When you click on a notification, you will see the details of the meeting/event in the right pane.

    Microsoft Teams Connect chat – Extended Directory

    Microsoft Teams is now introducing enhancements on top of Teams Connect for chats. With the Teams Connect chat extended directory, IT admins can create an external directory of known external collaborators using their phone numbers. Once created, it will be easier for users in the tenant to:

    • Search external users by name and establish 1:1 or group chats with them.
    • View a company curated profile that includes information like a user’s location, job role, or business unit and even assign an organization manager for these external partners.
