Microsoft Purview compliance portal: Endpoint Data Loss Prevention – Support for Advanced classification scanning and protection for Endpoints running on Mac OS

With this capability, admins can now extend Advanced classification support to Mac Endpoints as well. Advance Classification scanning and protection allows the more advanced Microsoft
Purview cloud-based data classification service to scan items, classify them and return the results to the local machines.

This means admins can take advantage of classification techniques like fingerprinting, exact data match classification and named entities in their DLP policies.

Currently available in GA for Microsoft Purview Data Loss Prevention, we’re introducing the ability to extend Advance Classification support to Mac endpoint devices for Government Clouds.

Excel: Office Scripts now available in Government Community Cloud (GCC)

Office Scripts enable users with all levels of Excel experience, from beginners to those with advanced coding expertise, to automate repetitive spreadsheet tasks in Excel. Scripts can be created with the Action Recorder or the Code Editor using the Office Scripts API and run in an Excel workbook. Office Scripts will soon become available to GCC users on Windows, Mac, and the web.

Microsoft Teams: Microsoft Teams Admin Center: Manage apps, App details pages, and Custom app management for GCCH & DoD

Teams Admin Center is adding Manage apps and App details pages to GCCH and DoD. Admins can get a list of all apps present for their tenant from manage apps page, review app details, allow and block apps, as well as upload and update custom apps from Teams Admin Center.

Microsoft Teams: Watermark support for recording playback (Premium)

Watermark support available for One Player when meeting is recorded with Watermark enabled in Teams meeting. Users should be able to record the meeting when watermark is enabled. Once the meeting is concluded, users can conveniently access the recorded content in One Player, both on the web and mobile platforms. The One Player provides a seamless playback experience with each participants seeing their own email address as watermark, allowing users to review the meeting recording.

Update on Microsoft 365 Defender Vulnerability Management Capabilities for Servers Plan-2

We want to give you a better understanding of the Microsoft Defender Vulnerability Management (MDVM) capabilities available to Microsoft Defender for Cloud (MDC) customers, as well as information on some recent changes in behavior, which enables these capabilities only to eligible devices.

Initially, when MDVM premium capabilities were rolled out in Defender for Servers Plan 2, they were enabled across all devices (both clients and servers) for customers with Defender for Servers Plan 2.
