Microsoft may use non-Microsoft organizations to help provide Online Services. As a function of their role for Microsoft, a small set of these organizations may process your customer data or personal data, only to deliver the services Microsoft has retained them to provide; they are prohibited from using your data for any other purpose. In accordance with GDPR, we disclose these subprocessors to you in advance of their first engagement and provide notification of any changes over time.

SharePoint site analytics: OneNote usage included in site usage reports

SharePoint site analytics will include OneNote file usage, increasing reported site metrics like unique viewers and visits. Popular content reports will show frequently accessed OneNote files. The update rolls out worldwide from mid-January to mid-February 2026, requires no admin changes, and may raise site usage numbers.

Microsoft Excel: Enabling M365 subscribers to use Copilot Chat in locally stored modern workbooks

Microsoft 365 subscribers will be able to use Copilot Chat in locally stored Excel modern workbooks starting mid-December 2025, with rollout completing by January 2026. This feature is enabled by default and aligns functionality with workbooks stored in SharePoint or OneDrive.

Managers can soon export Viva Glint Executive Summary reports as editable PowerPoint slides, enabling easier customization and faster sharing. Microsoft Purview |Insider Risk Management – Enhancements to variant limits and detection groups

Microsoft Purview Insider Risk Management will increase variant limits per indicator from 3 to 10, total variants to 100, and detection group capacity from 200 to 500. Rollout starts December 2025 (preview) and January 2026 (general availability). No privacy or compliance changes; admins can review policies to utilize new limits.

Microsoft Teams: Best Practice dashboard to monitor VDI optimization for meetings

A new Best Practice Configurations Monitoring Dashboard will roll out in early 2026 in the Teams admin center, helping admins monitor and remediate VDI optimization issues in meetings. It highlights non-conformance, shows impacted locations, and allows export of user data for targeted fixes.

Power Platform Monitor – Announcing Copilot Studio agent health metrics and alerts in Public Preview

We are announcing two new features in Power Platform Monitor that will be available in Public Preview on November 28, 2025:

• Copilot Studio product list page (Preview) – Tenant and environment admins can view operational health metrics for conversational and autonomous agents created in Copilot Studio that are under their purview.
• Agent Alerts (preview) – They can also configure alert rules to proactively detect health issues for agents in Managed Environments.
