Copilot Chat will be available for Microsoft 365 Copilot users from the side pane on the right-hand side when using Copilot Search in the Microsoft 365 Copilot app. This allows users to engage with Copilot while browsing universal search without switching pages or losing context.

As AI agents become deeply embedded in enterprise ecosystems, they are evolving beyond simple tools or workflows into a digital workforce. These agents can interpret intent, access and manipulate enterprise data, execute actions and even make real-time decisions. In many ways, they operate like human insiders only with machine-speed data processing capabilities. To govern and protect these agents effectively, Microsoft Purview Insider Risk Management is being expanded to agents, with specific indicators and insider risk score built for agents based on agentic activities. Microsoft Purview Insider Risk Management correlates various signals to identify potential malicious or inadvertent insider risks, such as IP theft, data leakage, and security violations. Insider Risk Management enables customers to create policies based on their own internal policies, governance, and organizational requirements. Built with privacy by design, users are pseudonymized by default, and role-based access controls and audit logs are in place to help ensure user-level privacy.
Support for refining query filters for Confluence Copilot connectors.
With this release, usage from One Note files (.one) in SharePoint will be included in SharePoint site analytics metrices like viewers, views and average time spent. You will also see One Note files appear in the popular content section if a One Note file is heavily used in the last 7 days. Microsoft 365 Copilot will enable natural language commands for email triage—pinning, flagging, archiving, marking read/unread, and completing tasks—in Outlook. Available mid-December 2025 for licensed users, this feature requires no admin changes and aims to simplify inbox management.
Microsoft will enable admins to onboard external partners to Viva Glint via a simplified process starting December 2025. Partners can be added as Support Users through Entra ID guest accounts to manage employee engagement surveys. Admin action is required to enable partner access, with guidance provided for setup and communication.
