Communication Compliance – DLP policy recommendations (preview)

Coming soon to public preview, Communication Compliance will appear as an option within DLP policy recommendations.

This message is associated with Microsoft 365 Roadmap ID 85651.

When this will happen:

Rollout will begin in late October and is expected to be complete by late November.

How this will affect your organization:

We are surfacing Communication Compliance policy recommendations within the Data Loss Prevention (DLP) workflow, with the ability to apply DLP policy insights to your insider risk practice to better identify user behavior and intent. With this preview update, you will now be given the option to configure a relevant policy in Communication Compliance within the Microsoft 365 compliance center at the end of the DLP policy configuration flow.

By default, global administrators do not have access to Communication Compliance features. To enable permissions for Communication Compliance features, see Make Communication Compliance available in your organization.

You might want to notify appropriate users about these new capabilities and update your training and documentation as needed.
