DocuSign Integration with SharePoint eSignature

Microsoft SharePoint and Syntex users who are also DocuSign customers can initiate eSignatures directly from PDF documents. The eSignature request will be processed by DocuSign and a copy of the signed document will be saved automatically in SharePoint after signing. This feature reduces the risk of potential data leakage that customers often report as they move sensitive documents between SharePoint and third-party eSignature platforms. Users will no longer need to manually download or upload documents when initiating an eSignatures request or when saving signed documents to SharePoint for long-term storage.

This message is associated with Microsoft 365 Roadmap ID 382128.

When this will happen:

Standard Release: We will begin rolling out late March 2024 and expect to complete by mid-April 2024.

How this will affect your organization:

With this rollout, users will see a button to start a DocuSign request when they open a PDF document in SharePoint.

What you need to do to prepare:

This is an opt-in feature. To turn on this feature for your organization in the Microsoft admin center, check the DocuSign box in the eSignature section of the Microsoft Syntex settings page.

You may want to notify your users about this change and update any relevant documentation as appropriate.
