Feature Update: ‘Modern Workplace – Autopatch Client Setup’ script upgrade to version 1.2

The ‘Modern Workplace – Autopatch Client Setup’ script is being upgraded to version 1.2 starting June 3, 2024, with improvements and a technical cleanup. The upgrade will roll out to different deployment groups throughout June. No action is needed from users, but assistance is available through the Microsoft Intune admin center if necessary.

The script ‘Modern Workplace – Autopatch Client Setup’ installs the necessary components on the devices, to use the Windows Autopatch service. This script is being upgraded to version 1.2, which will include validations related to the corruption flag and the feature update issues detected on the device. Technical upgrade has also been done to clean up unnecessary components in the app.

When will this happen:

The ‘Modern Workplace – Autopatch Client Setup’ upgrade to version 1.2 will take place beginning on June 3rd, 2024, and will continue for each deployment ring as follows:

  • Test Group – June 3, 2024
  • First Group – June 5, 2024
  • Fast Group – June 10, 2024
  • Broad Group – June 17, 2024
