Microsoft 365 Compliance Center: Core and Advanced eDiscovery: Enhanced Keyword Query Language (KQL) editor experience
The new KQL editor experiences provides a quick way to get started building complex queries across Core eDiscovery holds and search, and Advanced eDiscovery holds and collections.
This message is associated with Microsoft 365 Roadmap ID 85582
When this will happen:
We expect this rollout to begin in early October and expect the rollout to be fully completed by early November.
How this will affect your organization:
The eDiscovery managers in your organization will now have the option to use the KQL editor to create queries to apply holds and search for content across both Core and Advanced eDiscovery.
The new experience will provide auto-completion for common properties and values and warnings for potential and breaking errors. This capability will help eDiscovery managers build complex and accurate queries from scratch as well as help refine existing queries that eDiscovery managers may be provided with from requesting parties and paste into the KQL editor tool for any required adjustments.
What you need to do to prepare:
Familiarize yourself with the documentation and try the new KQL editor experience to identify if it may be a better fit for your organization and process.
