Microsoft OneNote Copilot Chat is coming to iPad and Mac desktops

Microsoft OneNote Copilot Chat is coming to Mac desktops and iPad. OneNote Copilot Chat is an intelligent assistant, transforming the way users interact with their notes. Users enter natural language prompts, and Copilot helps them understand, summarize, and rewrite notes for enhanced clarity and purpose. This feature will be available to all commercial accounts with a valid Microsoft 365 Copilot license.

When this will happen:

General Availability (Worldwide): We will begin rolling out mid-November 2024 and expect to complete by late December 2024.

How this will affect your organization:

OneNote Copilot Chat on Mac and in the OneNote Copilot app for iPad will be available automatically by default. No action is needed to enable this experience.

What you need to do to prepare:

Ensure all devices are on the following builds or greater:

  • OneNote for Mac: Version 16.90 (Build 24101387) or greater
  • OneNote for iPad: Version 16.90 (Build 24100817) or greater
