New default native notification setting for new Teams users

With this change the default Notification Style (specifically for new users) will change to Native Notifications from Teams Built In. This will apply across Windows and Mac.

NOTE: The current default notification style for new users is Teams Built In.

This message is associated with Microsoft 365 Roadmap ID 83062

When this will happen:

We expect this rollout to begin in late August and expect it to be completed by early September.

How this will affect your organization:

New users will be defaulted to receive Native Notifications (rather than Teams Built In) which provide a host of benefits like support for focus assist mode, notifications in action center and OS improvements. A user can choose to change their notification style to settings -> notifications -> notification style.

NOTE: Existing users who have already set their default notification settings will not be affected.

What you need to do to prepare:

There is no specific action required. You may want to update your documentation as needed.
