New innovations in Windows 11 make it easier to create and get things done

Today we start to roll out new features and capabilities to help organizations get more value from their Windows 11 investments through greater productivity, creativity, and inclusion. Highlights include:

  • New skills for Copilot in Windows
  • Accessibility enhancements for those using voice access or multiple monitors
  • Improvements to Snap, Widgets, and Windows Ink
• Expanded file sharing options for third-party apps

We’re also simplifying update management by bringing together the Windows Update for Business deployment service and Windows Autopatch into a single, unified update management solution for enterprise customers.

When will this happen:
Most of these new Windows 11 features will be enabled by default in the March 2024 optional non-security preview release for all editions of Windows 11, versions 23H2 and 22H2.

What you need to do to prepare:
IT admins who want to get the new Windows 11 features can use the enable and control optional updates policy to enable optional updates for their managed devices. As with all updates, we will closely monitor the rollout of these new features and continue to share timely information on the status of the rollout and known issues (open and resolved) via the Windows release health dashboard and @WindowsUpdate.

Additional information:
You can learn more about these new features by reading today’s announcement in the Windows Blog. For more details on highlights for enterprise organizations, see the Windows IT Pro Blog. If you’d like to share with us your organization’s experience with these new features, please provide comments or suggestions via Feedback Hub.
