This feature release ‘Always-on diagnostics’, captures critical diagnostic data from onboarded endpoint devices running on Windows OS for EDLP issue reporting. Comprehensive trace logs will be automatically recorded and stored locally on the devices, eliminating the need to reproduce issues when submitting investigation requests to Microsoft. It allows for the collection of detailed traces over extended periods (up to 90 days). While raising tickets to submit investigation requests to Microsoft regarding Microsoft Endpoint DLP, customers can share enhanced diagnostic information with Microsoft without needing to reproduce the exact scenario.

We’ve released updates to the following update channel for Microsoft 365 Apps:

By December 13, 2025, update Microsoft Sentinel analytic rules, automation, workbooks, and queries to use the new account entity naming precedence: UPN prefix → name → display name. Use coalesce patterns to avoid issues in incidents, alerts, dashboards, and playbooks relying on account names. Test changes before rollout.

Microsoft Viva Engage introduces flexible, precise audience targeting for Storyline Announcements, allowing leaders to define custom audiences using organizational attributes, groups, or individuals at posting time. Public preview starts mid-November 2025; general availability begins February 2026. Requires premium licensing and accurate organizational data.

Microsoft will retire the ability to create App-V packages for Microsoft 365 Apps starting January 13, 2026, focusing on Click-to-Run deployment instead. Existing App-V packages will still work, but new ones cannot be created with updated tools. Organizations should transition to Click-to-Run before this date.

Viva Amplify will retire High Privilege Access for Teams distribution, switching from App-only tokens to Protected Forwarded Tokens by November 2025. This enhances security without affecting user experience or requiring tenant configuration changes. No admin action is needed; update documentation and inform support teams accordingly.

Microsoft 365 Copilot enhances Read Aloud with real-time voice Q&A, allowing users to interactively ask questions during document reading. Available worldwide from late November to December 2025, this feature requires a Copilot license and is enabled by default without admin changes.
