Microsoft Purview compliance portal: Insider Risk Management – Personal email triggers

In this update, we are adding the recently added email indicators in Insider Risk Management as triggers. 1. Sending email with attachments to free public domains – Users will be brought into scope of a policy when business-sensitive data is potentially leaked from a work email account to a free public domain email, potentially leading to a data security incident. 2. Sending email with attachments to self – Users will be brought into scope of a policy when business-sensitive data is potentially leaked from a work email account to user’s personal email account or emailing self, potentially leading to a data security incident.
Admins with appropriate permissions can enable these indicators from the settings page and use these triggers in the data leaks or data leaks by priority users template.

Microsoft Teams: Support for multiple camera views and IntelliFrame from Teams Rooms on Windows in Teams webinar and structured meetings

Multiple camera views and IntelliFrame (Multi-stream and cloud) from Teams Rooms on Windows are now available in Teams webinar and structured meetings with “Manage what attendees see” enabled. Organizers and presenters of these meetings can access intelligent camera views and bring them on the live stage for attendees. Available with Teams Rooms Pro.

New admin policy controls for video creation and distribution in Microsoft Clipchamp and Microsoft Stream

New admin controls in Microsoft Clipchamp and Stream allow management of video creation and distribution via five policy settings, including AI text-to-speech, webcam/screen recording, local downloads, and Clipchamp Premium upgrades. Policies enforce compliance by hiding or disabling related UI elements. Audio recording control is delayed.

Microsoft OneDrive: Offline mode process rename

OneDrive is renaming its offline mode background process and updating its icon to align with branding. Changes in sync version 25.145.0727.0001 include new process and task names on Windows and Mac. Rollout starts and completes in late August 2025. Update custom tools and inform IT teams accordingly.

Microsoft Lens app will retire

Microsoft Lens mobile app will retire starting September 15, 2025, with new installs disabled by mid-October and removal by mid-November. After December 15, 2025, new scans can’t be created. Users should switch to Microsoft 365 Copilot app for scanning; no admin action is required.

SharePoint Agent: New Agent Link WebPart

The new SharePoint Agent Link Web Part lets site owners embed clickable links to AI agents on pages, opening them in a sidecar for contextual help. Available under the AI category, it rolls out worldwide August 2025, enhancing discoverability and requiring appropriate Microsoft 365 Copilot licenses.
