Regional Settings Separation in Microsoft Teams is designed to give users full control over UI language, date, and time formats – either synced with their OS or set manually – for a seamless, globally personalized experience that also addresses common synchronization issues.
This new capability will enable admins to scan existing files at rest in SharePoint or OneDrive for business for sensitive data.
Microsoft Teams will validate meeting join URLs starting September 30, 2025 (November 30 for GCC/DoD) to prevent altered or rewritten links from being used. Security products must avoid rewriting these URLs to prevent users from being blocked. No admin action is needed, but organizations should update security policies accordingly.
Outlook for iOS and Android now features a “Browse Files” button in conversation threads (with “Newest on Top” view) to quickly access all classic attachments. This mobile-only feature rolled out worldwide in July 2025, requires no admin setup, and excludes OneDrive or SharePoint links.
