Microsoft Loop: Retirement of Copilot‑generated Recaps

Microsoft Loop will retire Copilot-generated Recaps by late May 2026, removing AI-generated recap creation but retaining manual recap editing. This change is default, irreversible, affects all tenants, and does not impact other Copilot features. No admin action is needed; update training and support as desired.

Outlook for iOS will update attachment actions and previewer experience worldwide from late April to mid-May 2026. New actions include “Preview” and “Send a copy,” with renamed actions for consistency. Changes apply by default to all users; no action is required, but user notification is optional.

Microsoft Purview compliance portal: Enforce DLP protection on new content before it’s saved

Starting April 2026, Microsoft Purview Endpoint DLP will enable detection and blocking of egress activities on unsaved files before they’re saved, enhancing data loss prevention. This feature is off by default, requires admin setup, and needs devices running anti-malware Client version 4.18.26020 or later.

Microsoft 365 Copilot (Premium) in PowerPoint will let users choose AI models, including OpenAI and Anthropic’s Claude, when editing presentations.
